The Connected Learning in Crisis Consortium

Seeks to create more inclusive, accessible, and supportive higher education environments for the growing number of displaced learners around the world. In partnership with governments, foundations, academia, and community-based organizations, the Consortium strengthens connected higher education efforts by focusing on 4 levers to drive systemic change.

1. Community of Practice

The CLCC fosters a vibrant community of practice, including over 40 institutional partners and the newly formed Student Engagement Task Force. This network prioritizes the needs of refugee learners within our collective efforts while facilitating knowledge sharing, coordination, and strategic partnerships.

2. Advocacy

Through coalition building, public awareness campaigns, and direct engagement with funders and ministries, the CLCC advocates for increased investment in and expanded access to connected higher education for refugee learners.

3. Evidence Base

The CLCC strengthens the knowledge base for connected higher education by developing quality standards, sharing best practices, and investing in research. These public goods advance the field of connected education and empower policymakers and institutions to implement evidence-based strategies.

4. Capacity Strengthening

The CLCC creates courses, delivers training, and provides ongoing technical support to help governments, institutions, and community-based organizations bolster their capacity to design and implement quality connected higher education programs. Recognizing the pivotal role of refugee students as changemakers, the CLCC also provides training and support to empower them as leaders and advocates.
